Treasures from my bookshelf ♥

And good suggestions for yours ♥ ...

As I told you last time I made some on-line shopping for my illustrated book collection wich filled my mailbox's tummy and my bookshelf of awesomeness...And I'm so happy and excited about that that I have to share with you these latest discoveries:

"The Tale of How"
by the Black heart gang

This is definitely one of the most beautiful books I purchased lately!! I've been lucky enough to discover the short animated film "The tale of How" during an animation screening that took place near Rome...And it was love at first sight (and hearing)!pika07

Here is a small low-res version of the animation for you:

Totally mesmerizing, isn't it?
The book is a wonderful collection of art prints taken for the animated movie, with the dvd and the text of the song...In a super-deluxe editon!...Oh I love it so!

Please take a closer look to the Black Heart Gang universe here, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!pika14

"So Good for Little Bunnies"
by Brandi Milne
And here's another little treasure, totally different but just as delicious ♥
"So Good for little Bunnies" is an illustrated book for children and grown ups, just that kind of thing I like the most!

It's incredibly sweet yet a little creepy if you look close in the details...And it's so fresh and linear, yet it's a cauldron of nonsense...Yay Brandi! You stole my heart!!

Brandi Milne's website is here, and this is her blog (where she's offering a print from this book for her latest giveaway!!!Run children Run!!!)

"Paper Puppet Palooza"
by Crankbunny
And a big Yayyy!! For this one!! How cool is this book? Not only it introduces you into the secrets of paper puppetry...But it does it telling you wonderful stories about each one of them!!

I still didn't have the time to make some experiments, but hopefully in September I will find some time to make some moveable creations...Oh I just can't wait!!

Learn more about this stunning "animation director and paper puppet person" here on her website...

And now...Won't you feed your bookshelf, imagination and mailbox with some delicaces?pika18

✄-----------------------Traduzione:

"The Tale of How"
by the Black heart gang

(vedi sopra)

"So Good for Little Bunnies"
by Brandi Milne

"Paper Puppet Palooza"
by Crankbunny

Aude: You're right! Something in the colours and the decorative composition looks like Merriam's work!
The magic hand of the Black Heart Gang's illustrator belongs to Ree Treweek..Go googling her name, you'll be stunned! ;)
