About my book and my workshop...

Ciao a tutti!!!
Come forse avrete dedotto dalla mia assenza, il lavoro su questo mio ultimo libro si è dimostrato molto più impegnativo e lungo del previsto, al punto da assorbire tutte le mie energie e distogliermi da ogni altro progetto (collezione di gioielli inclusa, che arriverà non appena avrò terminato questo lavoro).

As you maybe have understood from my absence, the work for this latest book of mine has been harder and longer than I expected, it actually stole all my energies and defeated any other project (including the new jewelry collection, coming up as soon as this work is finished)

Mi sento in colpa per avervi abbandonati così a lungo, anche se so che molti di voi continuano a seguirmi tramite facebook, twitter ed Instagram, dove posto regolarmente e vi ringrazio (lo so, lo so, preferisco anche io il blog, ma i social network hanno il pregio di esser più rapidi ed immediati...ahimè!)...

eng: I feel bad for having abandoned you for such a long time, even if I know that many of you follow me on facebook, twitter and Instagram, and I'm really grateful (I know, I know, I prefer the blog as well, but social networks are quicker and easier to update...sob!)...

Per questo ho deciso, per farmi perdonare, di stuzzicarvi un po' con qualche piccola anteprima del libro a cui sto lavorando...Come vedete si tratta di una storia in costume, yeeeh!

eng: that is why I decided, in order to let you forgive me, to tease you a little with some previews of the book I'm working on at the moment...As you can see it is an ancient story with cosutmes, yayy!!

Purtroppo non mi è concesso dire di più nè mostrare di più...Ma spero comunque di aver stuzzicato ed allo stesso tempo soddisfatto un po' la vostra curiosità ;)

Illustration Workshop 2012!!!

Ciao a tutti!!
Dopo un tempo lunghissimo torno finalmente a scrivere su questo blog...Tante cose bollono in pentola, ma il lavoro sul mio ultimo libro (di cui vi posterò qualche anteprima a breve) mi porta via tanto tempo, così mi ritrovo principalmente ad aggiornare la mia pagina facebook, che è più veloce ed immediata...

Non potevo però prescindere dal comunicarvi qui questa grande notizia: quest'estate terrò un workshop di illustrazione alla Fine Art Factory a Martina Franca!!!

Vi lascio qui con tutte le info, sperando di trovarvi numerosi a giugno, pronti ad impiastricciarvi le mani di colore!!

After a very long time I finally came back here on this blog...So many things are going on that I wish to write you about, but the work on my latest book (of whom I'll post some tiny previews soon) is stealing all my time, so I mostly find myself updating my facebook page, which is quicker and more direct...
But I couldn't absolutely help but writing here about this awesome new: this summer I'm going to be the teacher for an illustratrion workshop at Fine Art Factory, in Martina Franca!!!

"Attento a dove cammini: potresti inciampare in una fiaba"

In occasione del 200° anniversario della prima raccolta di "Fiabe per bambini e del focolare" dei fratelli Grimm (1812-1912), il corso si basa sulla reinterpretazione e la personalizzazione di questi capolavori eterni da parte di ciascun allievo: attraverso l'uso del colore e la creazione di texture e atmosfere, sperimenteremo tecniche nuove, miste, stimolanti e divertenti. Dal collage, all'acquerello, all'acrilico, alla carta vetrata. Partendo dal testo originale di alcune fiabe, passeremo attraverso lo studio delle sensazioni e delle atmosfere evocate in ciscuno, fino a proiettarle nell'illustrazione finale con la creazione di un'immagine nuova e personalissima, sebbene al tempo stesso ancestrale e appartenente all'immaginario collettivo e al patrimonio culturale di ognuno di noi.

Il prezzo del corso è di 150 euro

Per l'iscrizione è necessario un acconto di 100 euro,

l'acconto deve essere effettuato sul conto

A Summer's end Dream

So...Today is the first day of September, and it always means a lot to me.
New projects, new season (I love Autumn)...A new year, indeed.

But this time, this year begins with a strange nostalgic feeling...And I know there's a group of wonderful people out there who know exactly what I'm talking about...Because we shared a beautiful experience together: a very intense week at the Fine Art Factory with the most magical person I've ever met: Gabriel Pacheco.

ita: Dunque...Oggi è il primo giorno di Settembre, e questo significa sempre molto per me.
Nuovi progetti, una nuova stagione (adoro l'Autunno)...Un nuovo anno, a tutti gli effetti.

Ma questa volta, quest'anno inizia con una strana e nostalgica sensazione...E so che c'è un gruppo di persone là fuori che sa esattamente di cosa sto parlando...Perchè insieme abbiamo condiviso una bellissima esperienza: una settimana intensissima alla Fine Art Factory con la persona più magica che io abbia mai conosciuto: Gabriel Pacheco.

But strange sensations are never that bad...So I take this chance to say goodbye, blowing away this beautiful summer, before launching myself in all those new projects to begin.

I've finally finished the work on my new book...So I can officially consider myself on holyday!!

ita: Yeeeeeeeeh!!!

Ho finalmente terminato il mio lavoro sul nuovo libro...Dunque posso ufficialmente considerarmi in vacanza!!

..It feels so good, to be able to take my time, finally...I'm going to fly to the south of Italy in a few days, to attend a wonderful illustration course by Gabriel Pacheco at Fine Art Factory (can't wait, can't wait!).

ita: Mi fa davvero bene la sensazione di potermi finalmente prendere il mio tempo...Volerò a Martina Franca fra qualche giorno per frequentare un favoloso corso di illustrazione con Gabriel pacheco alla Fine Art Factory (non vedo l'ora!).

I'll be back here at the beginning of September...I have so many new project ready to start...And I also promised to host a giveaway to celebrate the 2000+ fans on my facebook page!

So be ready, because I will prepare it for you as soon as I come back, together with a buch of other things...I'm already so excited!

Working on a book is sooooooo long and tiring, sometimes you almost can't see the end of it...So now I love the idea of some new fresh projects to work on :)

Lavorare ad un libro è luuuuuungo e faticoso, a volte non si riesce quasi a vederne la fine...Per questo ora adoro l'idea di dedicarmi a dei progetti nuovi e freschi :)

I still can't show too much of my work on this book...Just some tiny sneak peaks...I'll be able to tell you more after it will come out, in November...For the moment I can only say it's going to be a something like a classic old-fashioned book, illustrated with a modern twist ;)

ita: Non posso ancora mostrarvi molto di più del mio lavoro su questo libro...Solamente alcune piccole anteprime...Potrò dirvi di più dopo l'uscita, a Novembre...Per il momento posso solamente anticiparvi che sarà una sorta di libro classico, vecchio stile, ma illustrato in chiave moderna ;)
