2011, a year of changes

And so...Here I am once again...Once more apologizing for my long absence....

Oh, well, I'll never learn will I? :)

In the past month I've been working like mad on the hugest commission I've ever been working on: a wall panel for a newborn girl's bedroom with a woodland scene full of cute animals♥

It's been very fun (and it still is, to be onest, since the work is not yet totally finished...It's hard to reach the end of such a long work) but also very time and energy consuming!

I've been publishing some low-quality W.I.P. shots on my facebook page all the way long, so I believe that some of you may already know what I'm talking about, but here's a small preview anyway:

The whole size of the panel is 2,5m x 1m (98.4 x 39.4 in)...Pretty much of an epic undertaking!!

Oh, well...I know I can reach the end of it! :p

So...With this said, if I'm titling this post "2011, a year of changes", it is for different reasons and the first one is right before you eyes: a whole new look for the blog graphic!!

It took a little while for me to get used to the new colours and spaces, but now let me say that I love it so!♥

There's a lot of space now and the colours are pretty similar to those of my website and, last but not least, a bit of fresh air every now and then is always welcome, isn't it?

Yehyehyeah! And I must thank the new blogger template designer for this chance to change the rules without going mad with html codes (I've learned my own way to deal with them...But I must admit that I'm always happy to avoid that struggle if I can)!

More news, more news...

Infinitales Postcards are finally in my shop!!

I've been thinking about printing some high quality postcards for a long while, and now that I did I'm truly happy with the great job that the print company did...And they have those lovely rounded corners (that I choosed also for my new business cards) that I adore, so yummy!

And now, the greatest change of them all, at least for a "classical" illustrator like me: I decided to try to find my way through the magical world of digital illustration!!

Let the bell ring!!! That's such a great new for me :)

Of course I will never abandon the classical techinque, I love brushes and painting too much, but I also love to try new paths and experiments all the time...So I decided that digital painting will be my new frontier...Wish me good luck! :D

Well, that's all for now ...I have some new projects on the run, including a new jewelry collection of unique pieces and some book projects ready to jump out of my drawer right into the hands of an editor...But it's still too soon to talk about them for now...Be on the look for more ;)

E così...Eccomi qui di nuovo...Scusandomi ancora una volta per la lunga assenza....

Oh, bhè, non imparerò mai, si direbbe :)

Il mese passato ho lavorato come una matta sul più gigantesco lavoro che mi sia mai stato commissionato finora: un pannello murale per la parete della cameretta di una bimba raffigurante una scena in un bosco pieno di animaletti ♥

E' stato molto divertente (e lo è ancora, ad essere onesti, dato che non è ancora del tutto finito...E' difficile veder la fine di un lavoro così lungo) ma anche un grande investimento di tempo ed energie!

Ho già pubblicato, man mano che il lavoro procedeva, delle piccole foto di work in progress sulla mia pagina facebook perciò qualcuno di voi potrebbe già sapere di cosa si tratta, ma ad ogni modo ecco qui delle piccole anteprime:

Oh, bhè...So di poterl finire! :p

...Detto questo, se il titolo di questo post è "2011, un anno di cambiamenti", è per diverse ragioni e la prima è proprio qui davanti ai vostri occhi: una veste tutta nuova per la grafica del blog!!

Che ne dite?

Per quel che riguarda me, ci è voluto un pò per abituarmi ai nuovi colori e spazi, ma ora posso dire che mi piace davvero!♥

C'è molto spazio ora e i colori sono piuttosto simili a quelli del mio sito web e poi un pò d'aria fresca fa sempre bene, no?

Sisisi! E devo ringraziare il nuovo designer di blogger per uesta possibilità di cambiare le carte in tavola senza impazzire con l'html (Ho trovato il mio modo di gestirlo...Ma devo ammettere di esser sempre contenta di evitare certe lotte intestine quando posso)!

Le Cartoline Infinitales sono finalmente nello shop!!

Era un bel pò di tempo che l'idea di stampare delle nuove cartoline di alta qualità mi ronzava per la testa, ed ora che l'ho fatto sono soddisfattissima dell'ottimo lavoro della tipografia...Ed hanno quegli angoli arrotondati (che ho scelto anche per i miei nuovi bigliettini da visita) che io adoro, yummy!

Ed ora, il più grande cambiamento di tutti, almeno per un'illustratrice "classica" come me: ho deciso di provare a trovare la mia strada attraverso il magico mondo dell'illustrazione digitale!!

Squillino le trombe!!! E' una novità entusiasmante per me :)

Ovviamente non abbandonerò ma la tecnica classica, adoro troppo i pennelli e la pittura, ma amo anche provare nuovi sentieri e sperimentare tutto il tempo...Così ho deciso di fare della pittura digitale la mia nuova frontiera...Auguratemi buona fortuna! :D

Bene, è tutto per ora ...Ho dei nuovi progetti in corso, compresa una nuova collezione di gioielli in pezzi unici ed alcuni progetti libro pronti a saltar fuori dal mio cassetto dritti-dritti fra le mani di un editore...Ma è ancora troppo presto per parlarne per ora...Restatemi vicini per saperne di più ;)
